Common Sense

Now, if I have to buy a garment to paint on, and that
garment fails in some way, how in the world is this my
responsibility? It isn't.
Leather is strong material, if you use it in a manner that
can become dangerous, like around heavy machinery, you
must take precautions. Likewise it is not intended EVER,
to support the load of human weight.
So don't try it.
It is illegal to do pretty much anything to someone
without their consent, furthermore it is
highly unethical to practice any form of
restraint without the use of safe-words or
the ability of the restrained to become
unrestrained by his or her own will. And can
lead to people being hurt, so think before
you do. And communicate.
Should on the other hand:
1) I forget to properly fasten a rivet.
2) Something came undone (that I did in fact make)
under normal use, within reason from date of
purchase. I will then be happy to talk to you, and
look forward to resolving the problem.
I will not cover the wear of paint on clothing
or leather, as every step is taken to ensure
proper bonding to the substrate. Paint wears
over time. If you have a painted garment, wash only
in cold, only on delicate cycle; make sure it's
inside out.
If paint wears unexpectedly soon, I need to
know about it, and can likely fix the problem.
Paintwork on automobiles is covered for the first
year, under strict conditions discussed in the
agreement prior to painting. I will ALWAYS be
interested in the longevity of my work, and can
consider repair or revival on old work depending
on the value of such substrate.
Lastly: I am an artist, and an old world
craftsman. Of course I stand by my works,
and take pride in them. This by no means
makes them bionic super works that are
invincible. Industrial equipment breaks
down everyday. Things wear out.
